LIVERMORE — The town is participating in the School Spirit Challenge by collecting canned goods and monetary donations that will benefit the Good Shepherd Food-Bank.

The Spruce Mountain High School in Jay challenged the town to get involved.

The challenge is a friendly competition between schools to show school pride and spirit, all while helping the community.

Every $1 donated equals 5 pounds of food, according to information on a challenge flier.

People can drop off donations and canned goods at the Livermore Town Office any time during the month of October. They can also be dropped off at Castonguay Meats on Gibbs Mill Road.
