LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will meet on Monday, Oct. 6, for a presentation on Balance from Head to Toe Physical Therapy. Members will be able to meet with a therapist to have their balance evaluated.

The club held a Welcome Back meeting on Sept. 8, which included a pizza luncheon.

Cheryl Jalbert from SEARCH, a program of Catholic Charities, spoke about services and volunteer opportunities offered. The services are geared toward enhancing the quality of life of seniors and supporting independent living.

Members whose birthdays were in August and September were recognized.

After the meeting, bingo was played.

On Aug. 27, 52 individuals took a trip to the Breakwater Vineyard in Owls Head and the Cellar Door Winery in Rockland. They also visited the Owls Head Lighthouse and had lunch at Archer’s Restaurant in Rockland.

A group is leaving on Tuesday, Sept. 30, for a tour to Quebec and the Isle of Coudres. The seniors are also offering the following trips: Oct. 23: “The Addams Family” at Ogunquit; Nov. 13: Mohegan Sun and the Lettermen; Nov. 19-21: White Mountain Resort Christmas; Dec. 7-8: New York City, Christmas show at Westchester Broadway Dinner Theater and Radio City Rockettes Christmas show; April 11-19, 2015: Nashville show; Sept. 12, 2015: Mackinac Island in Michigan.
