AUBURN — The Robin Dow Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Schooner Estates, Tenants Harbor Room, 200 Stetson Road.

Doors will open at 10:30 a.m.

Tickets for Thanksgiving and Christmas will be on sale for $8 each on Oct. 9 and Oct. 22.

The traditional sale of raffle tickets will be inside the Tenants Harbor Room.

A regular meeting was held on Sept. 24 under the direction of the president, Carmela Hewitt.

Opening prayer was given by chaplain Pat Donohue followed by recitation of the Lord’s Prayer by those in attendance, the salute to the flag and singing one verse of “America the Beautiful.”

The secretary’s report was given by Opal Grant. Treasurer Irving Grant will give his report at the next meeting.

Correspondence secretary Irene Fraser read her report and requested that members keep her informed of members that have illness, etc.

September birthdays were recognized.

John Rice, director of operations at Schooner Estates, dropped in to welcome the group.

Nominations will be accepted from the floor at the Oct. 22 meeting for the following officers: president, secretary, treasurer and board members.

For the Oct. 23 meeting, members are asked to bring a sandwich for lunch. The club will have Halloween cupcakes, ice cream and candy. A donation container will be available for those wishing to help defray the cost.

Attendance winners were Larry Castner, Virginia Houston; red ticket, Pat Donohue, Janis Brackenbury, Don Doyon; blue ticket, Caroline Chapman, Carmela Hewitt, Evelyn Sawing; yellow ticket, Bernice Brooks, Don Doyon, Pat Donohue.

A closing prayer was recited recognizing the group’s transition to Schooner Estates.

“God Bless America” was sung followed by a bag lunch and bingo.

Upcoming trips include the Town and Country Inn and Resort, Gorham, N.H, on Oct. 9, and Indian Head Inn and Resort, Lincoln, N.H., on Nov. 16.

Non-members are welcome on any trip.
