FARMINGTON — The Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community and the Women’s Business Center at Coastal Enterprises Inc. are offering a free, two-week class, “The Basics of Starting a Business,” for anyone interested in opening a business. Classes will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays, Oct. 20 and 27, at the Women, Work and Communities office, 108 Perham St., Suite A, in Farmington.

The class covers the basics of a business plan, marketing, cash planning and is suitable for those thinking about or in early start-up phase of a new business. This is a two-week class, and attendance at both sessions is strongly recommended.

Preregistration and attendance at both sessions is required.
