LEWISTON — The Battle of the Blends XXI will be open at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Franco Center.
Seven a cappella groups will kick off the 2014-2015 season: Good-Time Sound, The Colbyettes, The Merimanders, None of the Above, The Nor’easters Barbershop Chorus, Vocal Solution and The Power to Entertain.
Perennial favorites and lively newcomers will perform vocal renditions of jazz, barbershop, pop, rock and roll, and Renaissance music at Maine Music Society’s major fundraiser organized by Judith Andrucki and John Milazzo.
General seating tickets are $25; children under 12 are admitted for free when accompanied by an adult.
