I received a misleading mailer from the Maine Republican Party completely distorting Nate Libby’s record.
First, Libby does not support welfare fraud and it is a silly assertion to believe anyone supports fraud. Libby supports increased fraud investigation and enforcement, tougher penalties for those committing welfare fraud, and does not support EBT card abuse.
Second, Libby has sponsored comprehensive tax reform that lowers working Mainers’ tax burden by exporting taxes to the 25 million tourists who visit Maine annually.
It seems Republicans will do and say anything to win, no matter what the facts are.
The people of Maine need constructive, common sense-driven leadership in Augusta and Nate Libby will deliver that.
