* At 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, a Waldo Street business reported a shoplifting complaint. Following an investigation, Patricia Paquette, 60, of Rumford, was summoned by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on charge of theft (shoplifting). She is to appear on Dec. 2 in Rumford District Court.

* At 1:21 p.m. on Oct. 26, an Ellis River Road resident in Rumford noticed that someone had taken items valued at $100 from an unlocked shed. The case is under investigation.
* At 6:36 p.m. on Oct. 24, a Waldo Street business reported a shoplifting copmplaint. Maifeld is investigating. Charges are pending.
