CHELSEA — Police say they have captured a man who jumped out of a state police cruiser and escaped into the woods after his arrest in Chelsea earlier this week.
Police say Portland officers took 34-year-old Jason Langdon into custody late Thursday night. Authorities say Langdon was handcuffed and lost a shoe while fleeing on Wednesday night. Police say he still had the handcuffs on when he was apprehended in Portland on Thursday, although the chain had been cut.
Police originally arrested Langdon after the car he was driving was stopped for a traffic violation and he gave officers a false name.
