The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1641 and the America Legion Post 24 will hold their annual Veterans Day ceremony at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the Lecture Hall at Mountain Valley Middle School.
It’s requested that the community get together to honor our veterans. The guest speaker will be State Sen. John Patrick. The Master of Ceremonies will be Ed Roach.
VFW State Quartermaster David Williams asked that all veterans meet in the school’s cafeteria at 9:30 a.m., where they will be escorted to the Lecture Hall.
There will be lunch following the ceremony at noon in the upstairs hall at the VFW. All veterans and their families are invited to attend.
Prior to the ceremony, Williams said the VFW and Legion will lay wreaths at monuments in five different locations.
