MANCHESTER — Kennebec Land Trust’s Hiking Guide Group will visit the Hutchinson Pond Conservation Area at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9.
The group, including KLT members, board members, and/or volunteers, meets at 2 p.m. the second and fourth Sundays monthly from November to September.
The recently published KLT hiking guide will give directions to each site. Visit www.tklt.org for a complete list of where the guide is available for purchase ($15) or purchase one at the beginning of a hike.
These are casual hikes for all ages that range from a half to two miles and are generally easy. For those interested, there will be opportunities to bird watch, snowshoe, forage for mushrooms and learn some of the plant and tree species on the properties.

Bring hand shears and light gloves. Cost will be $5 for KLT members, $10 nonmembers, including wreath materials. A maximum of 20 participants will be accepted. Preregister by calling 377-2848 or emailing [email protected].
There will be a hike at Torsey Pond Nature Preserve, Readfield, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. Visit www.tklt.org for a complete hike schedule.
