RUMFORD — The Friends of Black Mountain of Maine fundraising committee will hold its second annual auction at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.

Doors at Black Mountain Lodge will open at 6 p.m., committee member Judy Collette said in a news release Friday. Pub food will be available from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Mike Brennick will be the auctioneer, Collette said.

Among the items being offered are a cord of wood, tools, a patio heater, a lighted toilet seat, a series of gift baskets, homemade food and a free ride in the resort’s grooming machine with Black Mountain groomer Jeff Knight, who is retiring this year.

Collette said the fundraising committee wanted to “express their gratitude to all the local, as well as out-of-town businesses, family and friends that have contributed” to Black Mountain.

“Without the strong continued support and thoughtfulness of our surrounding community, this event would not be possible,” she said. “The River Valley region is exceptional. Anyone that attends the event will not only have fun, but will have the opportunity to walk away with some wonderful items.”
