WATERVILLE — The following area students enrolled at Colby College this fall. Before classes began, each student took part in an orientation that included an introduction to Colby’s rigorous academics, rich cultural life and community involvement opportunities as well as a three-day outdoor excursion.
Charles Gauvin of New Gloucester is the son of Charles Gauvin and Eugenia Sawin of New Gloucester and a graduate of Portland High School.
Marcques Houston of Monmouth is the son of Stephanie Boynton of Monmouth and a graduate of Monmouth Academy.
Maximillian Richard of Farmington is the son of Todd and Sandra Richard of Farmington and a graduate of Carrabassett Valley Academy.
Clay Rowland of Turner is the son of Stephen Rowland of Turner and Allison Stailing of South Portland and a graduate of Leavitt Area High School.
Emily Taylor of Jay is the daughter of Robert and Julie Taylor of Jay and a graduate of Spruce Mountain High School.
Abigail Shea of Mount Vernon is the daughter of Daniel Shea and Christine Gatto-Shea of Mount Vernon and a graduate of Maranacook Community School.
Sara Hoffman of Raymond is the daughter of Donald and Jane Hoffman of Raymond and a graduate of Cheverus High School.
