OTISFIELD — The food pantry at Spurrs Corner Church, Route 121, will be open Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon.

West Paris food pantry open Dec. 2

WEST PARIS — The Neighborhood Niche Food Pantry will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at West Paris Baptist Church, 15 Church St. The pantry is open the first and third Tuesdays of each month and West Paris residents are invited to come once a month.

Scholarship Christmas Fair

OTISFIELD — East Otisfield Free Baptist Church will hold the annual Scholarship Christmas Fair on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again on Sunday after church. On Saturday there will be a display of Christmas villages in the church.

The fair will include handmade crafts, baked goods, pies, attic treasures, a cookie walk, a Christmas table, jams and jellies and more. The proceeds will help provide scholarships to eight college students. The scholarships are given for all four years.

The church is at 231 Rayville Road, off Route 121. Route 121 runs between Auburn and Raymond.

Chinese auction at Resistance Ministries

OXFORD — The Resistance Ministries, a nonprofit youth ministry, will have their seventh annual “A Christmas To Remember” Chinese Auction on Saturday, Dec. 6, at The Rock House Teen Center.

The auction is open to the public. Doors will open at 1:30 and the ticket drawing starts at 3 p.m.

There will be hundreds of brand new items along with a dollar table, grab bags and food and drink available for purchase.

The ticket prices at the door start at 100 tickets for a donation of $25. There are advance ticket deals, while they last, starting at 100 tickets for a donation of $20, 200 tickets for $35 and 300 tickets for $40.

Roast turkey dinner at Paris church

PARIS — A roast turkey dinner will all the fixings and apple crisp with ice cream will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church.

4-H Ticket Auction is Dec. 6

PARIS — The annual 4-H Ticket Auction will be held at the Oxford Hills Middle School on Saturday, Dec. 6. Doors open at 4 p.m. and bidding begins at 6.

The ticket auction is very popular within the community, and features many great prizes. Local businesses, artisans, farmers, 4-H clubs and generous individuals have donated products, services, event tickets, gift certificates, themed baskets and more. This event provides a great opportunity for community members to take a chance on winning fabulous prizes, while supporting the wonderful program of 4-H.

Funds raised will benefit all 4-H clubs in Oxford County. The Leaders’ Association sponsors and hosts various programs and events which 4-H participants are encouraged to attend, at little or no cost to themselves or their families. In addition to educational opportunities through the University of Maine and youth travel trips to Washington, D.C., the upcoming Bowling Night is a popular event with 4-H families and volunteers. Many of the programs provide opportunities for kids who, otherwise, may not have access to these same experiences.
