An annual holiday tradition takes place this Saturday, when Holiday Hullabaloo will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. At the Old Town Public Library.

As always, Santa will make an appearance and will be available to sit and have his picture taken with area children and hear about what they would like for presents from 10 a.m.-noon. (photos are available for $5 each). There also will be the Children’s Gift Store, where all youngsters 10 years of age or under can purchase gifts for their family and friends. All gifts are only one dollar each.Some of Santa’s helpers will be available to help the children find appropriate gifts for friends and family and will wrap and label these gifts for the children.
Additionally, special ornaments will be available for $2 to $3 and all proceeds will be used to support the afterschool programs at the library, and the Annual Cookie Sale sponsored by the Friends of the Library will be there with an added section of sales of potholders, aprons, etc. All proceeds from this section will be used to purchase or support programs the library.
The Basket Raffle this year is bigger than ever and thanks to the cooperation of many individuals, businesses and organizations the baskets are unbelievable. Tickets are 25 for $5. The baskets are already on display at the library and tickets can be purchased any time the library is open. Drawing of the winners of the baskets will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday but winners do not have to be present to win. All proceeds from this and the gift store are used for small grant awards.
Holiday Hullabaloo is sponsored by The Friends of the River Coalition and the Old Town Public Library. All proceeds go to benefit the projects that the River Coalition supports. All of the programs that the River Coalition sponsors are free to area residents.
