Commercial Travelers meeting

MECHANIC FALLS — Twin City Council 160 of the United Commercial Travelers of America will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Bucknam Oaks.

A potluck supper will be served at the close of the business meeting.

Members are reminded to bring a wrapped gift for the gift exchange.

All members and guests are welcome.

Teen Center auction rescheduled

OXFORD — The Chinese auction fundraiser at The Rock House Teen Center was postponed due to bad weather last Saturday and has been rescheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at The Rock House Teen Center, 254 Webber Brook Road.

Anyone who had purchased advance tickets for last Saturday will be able to use them this Saturday. Tickets for the auction can still be purchased in advance at a discounted rate from the door price by going to www.RockHouseMe.wix.com. For further information, call 743-6500.

Duplicate Bridge Club results

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Dec. 5. An eight-table Mitchell movement was enjoyed.

Finishing first N/S in flight A were Rosemarie Goodwin (Lewiston) and Fred Letourneau (Winslow); second, Neenie Kivus (Lewiston) and David Lock (Greene); third, Dick Allen (New Gloucester) and Peter Cummings (South Paris); fourth, Hazel Glazier (Norway) and Marta Clements (Woodstock).

Finishing first in flight B N/S were Bunny Banks (Windham) and Barbara Newcomb (Portland); second, Denny Raymond (Waterford) and Hank Sakrison (Poland), who also were first in flight C.

Finishing first E/W in flight A were Nancy Farmer (Norway) and Mike Newsom (South Paris); second, Milt Mckeen (Bridgton) and Jim Krainin (Naples), who also were first in flights B and C; third in A were Cynthia Bill Clifford Jr. (Lewiston), who also were second in flight B; fourth, Denise Whitley (Waterford) and Barbara Vanderzanden (Waterford), who also were third in flight B and second in flight C. Fourth in flight B were B.J. and Steve Cavicchi (Bridgton), who also were third in flight C.
