WARREN — A 71-year-old Waldoboro man died at the scene of a Friday night crash.
Knox County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Reggie Walker said that the man was driving a 2007 Versa east on Old Augusta Road and went through a stop sign at the intersection of Route 235, also known as Ridge Road.
His compact car was struck by a 2004 Silverado pickup truck heading south on Route 235.
The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. Police were still at the scene at 8:30 p.m.
Officials are withholding the name of the man who died until family members are notified.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken by ambulance to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta. His injuries were minor, Lt. Walker said.
