1919 – 2014

AUBURN — Juliette M. Bisson, 95, of Lewiston passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Hospice House in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 27, 1919, in St. Gedeon, Quebec, a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Marie Anna (Gagne) Paradis. At the young age of 4, she and her family moved to Winslow, where she grew up and attended school.

On Nov. 24, 1945, she married J. Alfred Bisson in Winslow, and they started a family together.

They later moved to Lewiston in 1960, and while there, Juliette worked for Billen Shoe until her retirement in 1984.

She was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston, as well as a former member of the Ladies of St. Ann’s Sodality, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22, D.A.V. Auxiliary Chapter 11 and the Lewiston Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her children, Jolene Girouard and her husband, Maurice, of Lewiston, Ronald Bisson and his wife, Tina, of Orlando, Fla., and Joyce Coyne and her husband, Coleman, of Auburn. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Adam, Todd, Scott, Darcy, Noelle and Caroline; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Sydney, Ava, Maya, Faith and Lydia Juliette; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alfred; her five brothers, Rosaire, Conrad, Heliodore and Lionel Paradis and Romeo Gagne; and her four sisters, Regina Ruel, Yvette Carey, Noella Grenier and Marie Jeanne Paradis.

She was loved by all who were fortunate to be part of her life. Her genuine laughter and joie de vivre was addictive, and the memories she created for us will be cherished forever.
