LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will meet at noon Monday, Jan. 5, for their monthly meeting.

A Kentucky Fried Chicken luncheon will cost $4.

The group met on Dec. 1 at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.

During the months of October and November members brought in food items or donated money to help families with a Thanksgiving basket.

They were able to help four families with a Thanksgiving meal and food for a week. The baskets were dropped off at the Lewiston General Assistance office and distributed from there.

Members are now bringing in unwrapped toys, hats and mittens which will be given to Safe Voices for the holidays.
