LEWISTON — Carmel Fortin, 89, of Auburn, died Monday, Dec. 22, at d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born on Oct. 6,1925, to Hector and Florida (Girardin) Aube. She retired from Philip Elmet in 1989 and Bolster Heights in 2006.
Carmel enjoyed gardening, plants and camping with friends at Powder Horn Campground.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy, of Auburn; one son, Steve and wife, Jane, of Turner; grandchildren, Jonathan of Wilton and Angela of Turner; great-grandchild, Megan, of Turner; two sisters, Muriel Adams of Auburn and June McFarren and husband, Keith, of Litchfield; one brother, Richard Aube, of Tennessee; and several nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Phyllis; and an infant granddaughter, Melissa.
