RANGELEY — The wedding of Kristen Marie Nicols and Roger Viger Jr. was held on Aug. 16 at Saddleback Ski Area in Rangeley. Shannon Welch, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Viger is the daughter of James and Carlene Nicols of Mexico. Mr. Viger is the son of Roger and Cindy Viger of Rumford and Sandra Cleveland of Walhalla, S.C.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown in sweetheart style with beading and pick-up satin skirt and chapel train. She carried a white bouquet of roses and Calla lilies.

Tanya Nicols served as honor attendant for her sister. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Thistle, friend of the bride, Mary Ellen Carrier, sister of the bridegroom, and Maeghan Cassidy, Jen Oldham and Ashley Black, friends of the bride. Hallie Oldham, daughter of a friend of the bride, was flower girl.

David Viger, brother of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Ryan Nicols, brother of the bride, Andre Carrier, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Ryan Palmer and Gene Casey, friends of the bridegroom, and Alan Carrier, nephew of the bridegroom. Griffin Viger, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Saddleback Ski Area, after which the couple traveled to Sandals at St. Lucia. They are residing in Rumford.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 2007 graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Maine with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed at Franklin Memorial Hospital in the maternal child health unit as a registered nurse.

The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is an equipment operator for the Rumford-Mexico Sewer Dsitrict.
