LIVERMORE FALLS — The town is looking for a new mechanic for the Public Works Department.
Town Manager Kristal Flagg said the former mechanic left within the past two weeks.
She has posted the position in-house as required by the union contract. She also has ads running Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan 9-11, in the Sun Journal and next week in the Livermore Falls Advertiser and The Franklin Journal.
“I already have five applications,” she said. People learned about the opening through word of mouth, she said.
The deadline for applications is Jan. 16.
