AUBURN — Auburn Adult and Community Education is taking registration for Winter/Spring courses. Below is a sample of some of the offerings. The full list can be found in its brochure or at www.auburn.maineadulted.org.

Beacon Hospice Volunteer Training: This course will prepare you to offer your vital support to hospice patients in your community. Course begins Feb. 4.

Marriage And Money: Learn how to avoid the eight most common mistakes where most people are losing $300-$800 per month. Course begins Feb. 5.

Basic Karate: Learn the basics of Isshin-Ryu Karate. Learn kicks, punches and blocks. Course begins Feb. 2.

Beginner Vinyasa Yoga: This class incorporates elements of Kundalinin, Tai Chi and Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Course begins Feb. 25.

Color Me Yoga For Children: Course prerequisite is a six-month minimum personal yoga practice. Color Me Yoga Foundations Certification will supply you with more than you can possibly need to start teaching children’s yoga immediately. Course begins Feb. 2.

Getting To Know Your Spiritual Team: In this course we will talk about how and why our spiritual team works with us, and where loved ones who have crossed over fit into the game. Course begins Feb. 23.

Introduction To Meditation: In this class, we will learn the three breath techniques to help you become more relaxed and centered. Course begins Jan. 28.

Belly Dancing: Come learn basic moves, hear some of the history behind the dance, and get the chance to meet other women in the community. Course begins Feb. 4.

Tai Chi For Stress Relief: This course uses meditative techniques and gentle movements to naturally and effortlessly allow the body to relax and the mind to settle. Course begins Feb. 24.

All Levels – Vinyasa Yoga Flow: This yoga class incorporates elements of Tai Chi, Dance Yoga and Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa Yoga. Course begins Feb. 23.

Zumba at Sherwood Heights: This course will lead you through an hour of mixed impact dance combined with toning movements for a full body workout. Course begins Feb. 26.

Ghost Hunting 101: This course takes you on a tour of the paranormal field, with a focus on ghosts and investigations. Course begins Feb. 4.

Introduction to Citizen Science: Join Maine Audubon’s staff naturalist and learn about the tools available to you to contribute to various citizen science projects. Course begins Feb. 9.

Model Railroading: The following topics will be covered in this eight-week course: bench work, basic wiring, scenery building, weathering and layout design. Course begins Feb. 10.

So You Want to Be a Model: This course discusses portfolios, castings and photo shoots. Students under 17 years old need to enroll with a parent. Course begins Feb. 25.

Woodworking: In this course you will create projects of your choice with guidance and assistance from the instructor. Course begins Feb. 5.
