RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Olivine Chaplin was celebrated at noon on Monday, Jan. 12, at Parish of the Holy Savior.
The Rev. Greg Dube was the celebrant, Bernard Poirier was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Ave Maria,” “Amazing Grace,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “On Eagles’ Wings.” The Old Testament was proclaimed by her granddaughter, Sarah Pingree, and the New Testament was proclaimed by granddaughter, Christine Patton. The Prayer of the Faithful was offered by her daughter, Patricia Patton, and offertory gifts were presented by granddaughter, Sarah Pingree, and great-granddaughters, Alyssa McLean and Kaylin McLean.
Spring interment will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery in Westbrook. Pallbearers were John Kelley, Tim McDonald, Randy Hemingway, Roger Chaplin, Jamie Harkins and Steven Sanborn. A reception was served by the Daughters of Isabella in the parish hall.
