LIVERMORE FALLS — Students and staff in Regional School Unit 73 will be dismissed early Friday, Jan. 23, so they may attend the funeral of school board member Diane Castonguay-Gould.

Gould, 45, a district representative from Livermore, was killed Monday morning after her car was crushed by a propane tank truck on Route 17 about a half mile west of Fayette Central School, police said. She died en route to a hospital.

RSU 73 Superintendent Kenneth Healey said in an email that the scheduled board meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, was cancelled so the educational community can pay their respects to the Gould family.

Gould’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Jay. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
