1924 – 2015

AUBURN — Henriette T. Roberge, 90, of 390 Webster St., Lewiston, died Monday, Feb. 9, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on Aug. 29, 1924, she was the daughter of Alphonse and Marie-Jeanne Simoneau Roberge. Educated locally, she graduated from Lewiston High School in 1943 with honors from the National Honor Society, and in 1945 she graduated from the Auburn School of Commerce.

She was employed for 25 years as the secretary to the plant manager of the Hill Division of Bates Manufacturing Co. She later worked as executive secretary for the president of Value House and covered all phases of clerical work with management, including accounting, payroll, real estate and advertising. She retired from CMMC after 12 years of secretarial work.

Henriette traveled all over the U.S. and the world, including Russia, North Africa, Canada, Mexico, a cruise to Alaska and many more places. She loved cats, and was always involved with the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. Henriette was musically talented, and played violin with the Simard Violin Quartet.

Survivors include several close friends, including Roberta Packard and Albert, Robert and Tammy Packard; Richard and Claire Morin, Maurice and Doris Leclerc; and Noella Soucy.
