1919 – 2015
LEWISTON — Roger J. Baker, 95, of Nichols Street, died peacefully Sunday, Feb. 15, at his home.
He was born in Lisbon on Dec. 6, 1919, the son of William J. and Eveline (Albert) Baker and attended local schools.
Roger was a fabric weaver at Hill Mill in Lewiston for 30 years from 1938 to 1968, with time taken out for him to serve his country in the United States Army during World War II from October 1942 to January 1946, where he was engaged in The Pacific Campaign.
He is survived by his first cousin, Lillian LaFontaine O’Brien of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by his brother, John, who died in 2012 and with whom he lived all of his life.
