LIVERMORE FALLS — The Livermore/Livermore Falls Historical Society will feature Marilyn Burgess as guest speaker. She will speak on the Civil War.

‘Cabin Fever’ supper in New Vineyard

NEW VINEYARD — The annual “Cabin Fever” supper sponsored by the New Vineyard Public Library fundraising committee will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Smith Hall.

This year the home-cooked menu will include baked beans, hot dogs, casseroles, coleslaw, rolls, pies and beverages. Diners will be entertained by talented local musicians. Cost for adults is $5; children 12 and under, $3.50; family deal, $15.

PARIS — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host free workshops titled “Essentials of College Planning” for adults 19 and over at Western Maine University and Community College Center, 232 Main St., at 10 a.m. Mondays, March 2, 16 and 30.
