The annual Orono Town Council and School Board Candidates’ Night will be held on Monday, February 23 from 7-9 p.m.in the Town Council Chambers and 59 Main Street, Orono.
Town councilors and RSU 26 board members approve the spending of your tax dollars for schools, snow plowing, trash removal, police & fire protection, housing code enforcement, zoning, etc. Come February 23 to ask questions and get to know the candidates.
To submit your questions for the candidates, call-in at 889-6905 or email info@orono.org, attend in person or watch on Cable Channel 7.
The 2015 Municipal and School Candidates are: Michael Costello, Samuel Kunz, Daniel LaPointe, Thomas Perry and Judith Sullivan for the town council, with three seats avaialble and Mark Brewer, Brian McGill and Frances Mary Neubauer for the school board, with two seats available. All terms of office are for three years.
Residents also are reminded to vote on Tuesday, March 10 at the municipal elections. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. All voting will take place in the council chambers.
