The Old Town Water District meter readers travel the water distribution system quarterly in March, June, September, and December for the purpose of collecting readings from the water meters in your home. A touch pad, located on the outside of your house or garage, is connected to your water meter and allows our meter reader to read it without entering your house.
During the winter months, and especially this month, it becomes increasingly difficult for our meter readers to gain access to the outside touch pad due to the high snowfall that has accumulated. The district appreciates any assistance its customers can give to help keep the snow clear to the touch pad; it will begin reading the districts approximately 3,000 water meters the first week of March. Its meter readers thank you in advance!
