RUMFORD — Parents and guardians with children who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15 are asked to pre-register their child for kindergarten by April 1.

Formal registration and screening will take place on Wednesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 16.

Parents should allow one hour for the appointment.

Children currently in kindergarten will not attend school on the days of screening in their school

Parents need to bring proof of residency (lease agreement or electric bill), an original birth certificate from the town where the child was born, not the hospital, and immunization information to the registration session.
