1933 – 2015
LEWISTON — Pauline Danforth, 81, of Lewiston passed away on Wednesday, March 18.
She was born in Lewiston on March 21, 1933, the daughter of William and Yvonne (Bergeron) Michaud. She attended local schools and graduated from Lewiston High School.
On August 13, 1949, she married Clarence Danforth Sr. and together they raised their family.
Pauline was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
In her early years, she loved to take road trips and camp with the family and fish and hunt. Once her family had grown, she devoted her time to the love of animals, her dog, Dolly, and volunteering at the SPCA.
She frequently volunteered for political campaigns, both local and national, once receiving a hug from Former President Bill Clinton.
She had a true love of beano, playing it often with friends and family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sheila and her husband, Donald Saucier, of Greene, and Joyce Danforth and her life partner, Rena Bourgoin, of Litchfield; a son, Clarence Danforth Jr.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Michaud of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Beatrice Merrill and Anette Stults; and a brother, George Michaud.
