DEAR SUN SPOTS: Calling all musicians! My name is Ken Tyler. I am a retired director of the United States Air Force Academy Drum and Bugle Corps and I am looking for musicians. I am trying to see if there is interest out there to march in an all-state marching band.

We are in the planning stages and want all the input we can get. Our tentative plans are to have rehearsals in different areas of the state, then combine the groups for performances. There appears to be much interest in having a marching band for parades and festivals throughout the state and we would love to fill that void.

We anticipate starting rehearsals in April and marching in parades this summer. What we need now are musicians! We are looking for junior high and high school students who need the experience and practice, rusty musicians who want to get back in shape and just about anyone who can play an instrument and can march. We’ve done this before and it is fun.

If you are a musician and are interested, give me a call. We also need more instructors and some support people. Thank you for your interest. — Ken Tyler, marching@roadrunner.com, 207-592-4536.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Do your readers know where there are any natural springs in the tri-county [Androscoggin, Franklin, Oxford] area? Someone should create and share a map of the most accessible. — From a Facebook friend.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For Peg in Mexico — The board game “Aggravation” is available on Amazon.com. There are many versions (editions?) with varying prices ranging from $20-$30 and free shipping if you have an Amazon Prime account. — Bev in Sabattus.

HELLO SUN SPOTS: I am in need of your help again. My dad is a veteran and he has MS. He is in need of a lift-chair recliner. The one he has now just got used a lot and is dying. If anyone has a lift-chair recliner to sell, we are willing to pay a reasonable price and willing to go as far as 60 miles to pick up the chair. Thank you. — Call 207-779-4242 and ask for Diane.

HELLO SUN SPOTS: Your column is the first thing I read every day. I want to thank George and his son for helping me when I broke down in traffic on a very busy intersection — Sabattus and Russell streets.

Many people were passing by my car. George stopped and pushed my car to a safer place. V.I.P. was close by and there I waited until the wrecker came to tow me away. George was awesome!! Thank you very much for taking care of a lady in distress. You were right, the problem was my alternator. There should be more people like George in the world.

I am also looking for a Watkins dealer. The one I bought from will not be carrying my product anymore. Also looking for an Avon salesperson in the Lewiston or Auburn area please. Call 207-784-4214. Thanks for all your help. — No name via online submission form.
