1970 – 2015

MILLIS, Mass. — Jeffrey M. Grover, 44, passed away Tuesday, March 17, at Milford Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

He was born on Sept. 14, 1970, in Lewiston, the son of Michael and Liane (Janelle) Grover. Jeff lived and grew up in Greene, attending St. Dominic High School.

After graduating, he chose to serve his country and entered the U.S. Navy for four years, earning a Bronze Star for his service in Southeast Asia. He then attended St. Joseph’s College, obtaining his bachelor’s degree in communications and Central Michigan University, receiving a master’s degree, also in communications.

Jeff then entered the Army until he retired due to injuries he received.

On April 23, 2011, Jeff married his soul mate and the love of his life, Julie Wagner. They blissfully lived in Millis, Mass., with their cat, Peppermint.

Jeff was a loving and giving person, a big man with a big heart, and was gladly willing to share whatever he had with his loved ones. He was a believer in appreciating and recognizing our fallen veterans, making sure that his grandfather Janelle’s name (World War II vet) was inscribed on the memorials at Great Falls in Lewiston.

Jeff was always thinking of others, even in death, insisting that he donate his organs, giving the gift of life so that others may have an opportunity to live. Jeff was unable to work, so he chose to stay in touch with his friends and family via Facebook and daily phone calls to his parents and friends.

Many people’s lives were touched by Jeff’s humor and his loving spirit. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Mike and Liane; his wife, Julie; a brother, Chris and his wife, Mindy Grover, and their child, Tyler, of Cumberland; a sister, Laura Grover of Pownal; sister-in-law, Rebecca Grover and her children, Eli and Lily, of Falmouth; aunts, Diane and her husband, Mark Desenberg, of South Berwick, and Joan Gastonguay of Turner; as well as many cousins, friends and his military family.

He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Grover; and his grandparents.
