1940 – 2015

AUBURN — Elaine N. (Ott) Heroux, 74, of 26 Amherst St., Auburn, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 10, with her daughter, Deb, by her side.

Born March 30, 1940, the only child of Leonard and Dorothy (Clarke) Ott, she graduated from Edward Little High School in 1958.

On May 20, 1961, She married James “Jimmy” Heroux, and they enjoyed almost 52 years of marriage.

Elaine most recently had worked for John F. Murphy Homes before her retirement with the good people of Turner and Bradman streets.

On Feb. 17, 2002, she was blessed to meet her grandson, Leonard James Bradbury, whom she loved from the minute he was conceived. She was very proud of the young man he is, and she will forever be his Geboux Angel in heaven, watching over him.

Elaine enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, having company over to eat and her cats, who provided her with much comfort and company. Though she had a hard exterior, she had a heart of gold and has helped many people and animals in her life. There will never be another like her.

She is survived by her daughter, Deb; grandson, Lennie; stepgrandsons, Rich Bradbury and Chris Salley; cousins, Marty Taylor and Donna Bennett; sister-in-law, Marie (Arthur) Picard; and best friends, Nancy Strong and Carole French; also the kitties, A.J., K.K. and M.J.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Jimmy.
