1941 – 2015

RUMFORD — Mary E. Roberts, 74, died Friday, March 27, at the Rumford Community Home. She was a resident of Maple Street in Rumford.

Born in Westfield on Jan. 12, 1941, she was a daughter of Perley and Alda (Redstone) Buckingham. She attended Mexico schools.

She worked as a waitress at the Mexico Chicken Coop and at the bakery and deli department at Sampson’s Supermarket. She also worked in the Rumford Hospital Cafeteria and as a private duty CNA.

Survivors include two daughters, Andrea Angotti and her husband, Randy, of Rumford, and Jodie Crocker and her husband, Herbert, of Turner; four sons, Jeffrey Roberts and his wife, Tina, of San Antonio, Texas, Phillip Dickenson and his wife, Ronda, of Las Vegas, Nev., David Roberts and his wife, Tammy, of Rumford, and Timothy Roberts and his wife, Tamara, of Carson City, Nev.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Hollis of Hyannis, Cape Cod, Mass.; and lifelong best friends, Barbara Kaulback, Evelyn Averill and Carla Judkins.
