1942 – 2015

PORT RICHEY, Fla. — James Bryant Plourde, 72, of Skowhegan, passed away quickly from pancreatic cancer on Sunday, Feb. 22, with his wife, Jeannine; daughter, Denise; and niece by his side at his home in Port Richey, Fla.

Bryant was born in Waterville to Leon and Catherine (Jacques) Plourde Sr. on Aug. 17, 1942. He attended schools in Skowhegan and Florida, graduating from Skowhegan High School.

He married Jeannine Anne Boulette on July 25, 1970, in Skowhegan. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and served as a radar operator in the U.S. Navy.

Bryant is survived by wife, Jeannine Plourde; son, Kevin Plourde and wife, Blythe, of Chandler, Ariz., son, Timothy Plourde and wife, Koreen, of Lewiston; daughter, Denise Plourde of New Bern, N.C.; son, Deron Plourde and wife, Andrea, of Lewiston; brother, Richard Plourde and his wife, Vergie, of Skowhegan; sister, Janet McGowan and husband, James, of Skowhegan; sister-in-law, Charlene Plourde of Skowhegan; eight grandchildren, Chelsea, Curtis, Emerson, Camden, Jaxson, Beckett, Carly and Sawyer; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Bryant is predeceased by parents, Leon and Catherine Plourde Sr.; brother, Leon Plourde Jr.; and sister, Alva Plourde-Smith.
