ANDOVER — Selectmen spoke with Code Enforcement Officer Bob Folsom Sr. on Tuesday night about a consent agreement the town’s attorney is drafting, and OK’d use of sections of two town roads by all-terrain vehicle riders.

Board of Selectmen Chairman Keith Farrington said the consent agreement deals with a property owner who built in the Shoreland Zone several years ago. The Planning Board was involved before it was turned over to selectmen.

“It’s the first one we’ve ever done,” Farrington said of the consent agreement, so they want to ensure they do it correctly by having the attorney draft it. “It’s a pretty complicated issue.”

In other business, the board temporarily approved opening two sections of South Arm Road and North Main Street to ATV traffic while the Roxbury ATV Riders Club is building a new trail to Upton.

Farrington said they need access going up North Main Street to where the new trail will start and can’t use a different route to get there because a bridge is being taken out.
