WAYNE — At 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, Wayne’s Cary Memorial Library will host Gary Fish speaking about yardscaping.

He hopes to inspire Maine people to create and maintain healthy landscapes through ecologically based practices that minimize reliance on water, fertilizer and pesticides.

Fish is manager of the pesticide programs at the Maine Board of Pesticides Control. He considers himself an entomologist from birth and was inspired to love plants by his Mother, who always grew beautiful roses and rock gardens. He is also an aspiring landscape and nature photographer.

Everyone is welcome. Memorial Library is located at 17 Old Winthrop Road, just off Rt. 133 in downtown Wayne. FMI, phone 685-3612 or go to www.yardscaping.org.
