AUGUSTA (AP) — A Maine man authorities say ran an escort service out of his home has been sentenced to five months in jail.

The Morning Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1Pnffwz ) reported that Frederick Horne Sr., who currently lives in Gardiner, was sentenced Wednesday in Kennebec County Superior Court after pleading no contest to sex trafficking and drug charges. The judge found the 47-year-old Horne guilty of the trafficking charges, but continued the drug charges for 18 months, meaning they will be dismissed if he complies with probationary conditions.

Horne was charged in connection with a police raid on his Sidney home in April 14. Authorities say he ran the Adam & Eve Escort Service out of the home, and allowed prostitution to take place there. Prosecutors say he advertised online and in the newspaper.
