FARMINGTON — Foster Career and Technical Education Center and Women, Work and Community will offer a panel discussion of careers in computer information systems and information technology.
It is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 17, at the Mt. Blue Campus Forum. Please enter through the main door and sign in at the office.
Panelists will include Sally Dyer, market manager, Dead River Co., Farmington, Kingfield and Rangeley; Bethany Frazier, student intern, Verso Paper Co.; Vickie Gammon, career development coordinator, Verso Paper Co.; Jami Holmes, Web services manager, UMF; Kathy Horton, RN, clinical information systems, Franklin Memorial Hospital; and Kevin LaPointe, technical recruiter, Carbonite.
Audience members will gain an understanding of career opportunities and education/training options for this industry. The event is free and open to the public. This program is coordinated by Women, Work, and Community and Foster Career and Technical Education Center with funding from the Maine Department of Education.
