DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thanks for everything you do. I am looking for someone to rototill my garden. Do you have anyone in your Rolodex? If not, people may reach me at 207-782-6683. Thank you. — Auburn reader.

ANSWER: Sun Spots does not have a list of people who rototill gardens. Hopefully, someone will contact you directly to discuss this with you and to find out how large your garden is that needs rototilling. Good luck!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a white plastic hose that attaches in back of a dehumidifier. Mine was misplaced. This hose hooks on to the dehumidifier for constant draining. They are not manufactured anymore. If anyone has a unit that does not work and is six years or older, I would love to hear from you.

Also, would like to hear from anyone who would like our leftover items from our church yard sale on May 16. Please call me at 207-783-2759. Thank you. — No Name in Auburn.

ANSWER: Have you looked at Sears; Bed, Bath & Beyond; Lowe’s; or Home Depot for the dehumidifier hose? Sun Spots took a quick look and found many stores that sell parts for dehumidifiers.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Foss Mansion at 19 Elm St. in Auburn has been preserved as a museum by the Woman’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County since it was bequeathed to the nonprofit in 1941 upon the death of its owner, Ella Foss. Ella was married to Horatio Foss who was a local shoe factory owner and investor.

This historical Auburn landmark is in need of some yard work and WLU is seeking volunteers to help at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 9, and at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13. Yard work will be postponed in case of heavy rain. Just show up with your work gloves, rakes, hand and electric trimmers and weed pullers.

We also need donated plants — perennials and annuals — to add some color to the yard and to fill flower planters. Please, no invasive perennials. If you can help, just show up and join us. The public is welcome to help. For more information, contact Kathy Lawrence, WLU house committee, at kmlawrence@aol.com or 207-795-6134. Thank you.
