MILFORD – June 27 has been set as the date for Milford Community Day, a town celebration that will be held at the Lewis S. Libby School.

Up until a few years ago, the town had an annual Milford Days event, but a lack of funding and volunteers led to its demise. This winter, selectmen talked of holding another event this year, and a small amounf of funding from the recreation budget recently was set aside for it.

Planning for the even is now underway, with a chili contest featuring local police and fire department members. An invitation also has been extended to the regular cast of North Woods Law for a meet and greet; also being planned are craft and vendor tables, games for kids, a parade featuring children, a bike rodeo, and a dance.

Those with suggestions for events, questions or comments should contact Adams at 827-2072 or manager@milfordmaine.org. Volunteers also are needed for the event.
