TURNER — Voters in School Administrative District 52 on Tuesday approved a $25.7 million budget for 2015-16. It’s $1.4 million more than this fiscal year.

According to Superintendent Henry Aliberti, the tally in Leeds was 39 yes and 13 no; Turner, 53 yes and 13 no; Greene, 25 yes and 17 no.

The budget, which includes computer upgrades at Leavitt Area High School in Turner, represents a 3.98 percent increase over 2014-15. There is money for energy improvements in district buildings that will bring $500,000 in energy incentives, making the cost budget-neutral.

According to Aliberti, the estimated average town assessment increase will be 2.73 percent. In Greene, taxpayers will be assessed an additional $32 per $100,000 of assessed property value. In Leeds and in Turner, the assessment will rise $29 per $100,000 of assessed value.
