CARTHAGE — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating vandalism to several headstones that were overturned and U.S. flags that were ripped apart at Winter Hill Cemetery on Winter Hill Road, Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said Monday.
Cpl. Christopher Chase received the report of vandalism Sunday. He believes the vandalism occurred between Saturday night and early Sunday morning, Nichols said in the release.
