Strawberry festival set for Saturday

BOWDOIN — West Bowdoin Baptist Church will hold its annual strawberry festival and bean supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at 54 West Road.

Strawberry shortcake with real whipped cream will be featured.

Cost is $8 for adults, $3.50 for children 5-12 and free for preschoolers.

The event is hosted by the Mission Circle.

MINOT — West Minot Grange No. 42 will hold its strawberry festival from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, June 21.

The menu includes strawberry and strawberry rhubarb pies, vanilla and strawberry ice cream, cobbler, biscuits, shortcake, strawberry sauce and real whipped cream.

Fresh strawberries will also be available.

Cost is $5 per adult serving and $2 for children under 12.

Turkey dinner slated for June 26

LISBON — A turkey dinner will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Odd Fellows Hall, 27 Village St.

Cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 5-12 and free for preschoolers.

The meal is hosted by Nina Rebekah Lodge 86 and Sabattus River Lodge 21.

Gray church to host bean supper

GRAY — A bean supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at First Congregational Church, Route 115.

The meal includes casseroles, salads, homemade breads and desserts.

Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

The church is wheelchair accessible.

Library to host Lyme Disease webinar

AUBURN — Auburn Public Library will host a “Facts on Lyme Disease” event at 6:30 p.m. June 29.

The library will show a recorded webinar on tick-borne illnesses and prevention by Sara Robinson of the Maine Center for Disease Control.

The library will also have handouts available.
