  • The churches of North Waterford and Stoneham are excited to have a new minister, Rev. Earl Rogers, of South Paris leading their summer services.

Rev. Rogers is a 2006 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. In 2010 he graduated from Juniata College in Pennsylvania with a B.A. degree in Religious Studies, and then graduated from Andover-Newton Divinity School, Massachusetts, in 2013. He has been employed at an Ed Tech at Oxford Hills Middle School, working with Special Education students in the Essential Skills program, where he provides classroom support (in all subjects), as well as teaching computer skills. But his audience can tell immediately: he belongs in the pulpit, and his messages are genial as well as uplifting.

Church members have also enjoyed meeting Rev. Rogers’ wife, Erica, who hails from Pennsylvania. College sweethearts, the couple met while playing in the college band: Rev. Rogers played tuba, while his wife played clarinet and tenor sax.

Church services for the remainder of June will be held at 10 a.m. in the Stoneham Church on Route 5 in Stoneham. During July and August, church services will be held at 9 a.m. in the North Waterford Church, Route 35, opposite Melby’s. All are welcome!
