Summer has arrived, and with it comes a new summer concert season in Old Town. Join us on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m., in Riverfront Park, for the 2015 Summer Concert Series.

Hosted by the Old Town Public Library, and sponsored by the City of Old Town, this season promises to be even better than the last! Bring your blanket, lawn chair and maybe even a picnic dinner to Riverfront Park and enjoy the sounds of an eclectic roster of talented performers.

This year’s schedule is as follows: July 2 – The Crown Vics (1950’s Rock & Roll band); July 9 – The Hollands (four-piece family band that hails from the US and Australia); July 16 – Hungrytown Folk Singers (internationally known husband and wife duo); July 23 – Alamoosic Lake Singers (Maine Native American performers); Friday, July 24 – PanStorm (steel drum band); July 30 – Peter Kilpatrick (hails from the music mecca of the Northeast – Portland, Maine ); August 6 – The Squid Jiggers (Maine-based duo, performing Celtic, Maritime and Folk music); and August 13 – The Mainely Country Band (The 2014 Maine Country Band of the Year!).

In the event of rain, concerts will be held at the Old Town Public Library, 46 Middle Street in Old Town. For details, visit the library’s website at http://old-town.lib.me.us, or give us a call at 827-3972.
