GREENSBORO N.C. — Spencer Dunn, a junior at Edward Little High School, had another strong showing at New Balance Nationals Outdoor Track and Field Championships at North Carolina A&T University this past weekend.
The defending one-mile race walk champion finished second on Friday with a time of 7:09.89. Cameron Haught of Enon, Ohio won the event with a time 6:46.23. Dunn just beat out Juan Moscoso, who finished in third with a time of 7:10.17. Nolan Allen of Arlington, Mass., finished in fourth, Jack Murphy of Penfield, N.Y., finished in fifth and AJ Gruttadauro of Brockport, N.Y., finished sixth.
Billy Chambers of Waterville did not start.
Benjamin Shorey of Ellsworth holds the meet record with a time of 6:11.05, which he set in 2001. Adam Staier of Farmington holds a national record with a time of 6:03.6, which he set on June 1, 2002.

Augusta 5, Pastime 2
LEWISTON — Reid Shostak homered and Kolbe Merfield came in relief, helping Augusta beat Pastime 5-2 in an eight-innig American Legion baseball game Wednesday.
Pastime, (2-1) was leading 2-0 through three innings when Augusta (1-0) tied it in the fourth. August then came up with three runs in the eigth inning.
