OLD TOWN – The City Reach Music Cafe is set to open at 10 Middle Street in Old Town on July 3 at 7 a.m.
The Music Cafe will be a place where people can gather, play music, use free Wi-Fi, and enjoy espresso and coffee that will be available by donation. Owner Brooke Gardner, who went to high school in Old Town herself, hopes the Café will be a safe place for youth to go after school and on weekends. The café will provide a place for local musicians to teach music to the youth and will also hold open mic night starting at 6 p.m. on Saturdays for musicians to play and sing. Family Movie Night will be held every Friday at 6 pm. This weekly event will be free and popcorn and refreshments will also be provided. Downtown local donation only delivery is available Tuesday through Friday 7 am to 3 pm.
The café hours are Tuesdays from 7 a.m.-9 p.m., Wednesdays from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursdays from 7 a.m.-9 p.m., Fridays from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. (Family Movie Night starts at 6), and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. They will be closed Sunday and Monday. Be sure to check out the City Reach Music Café’s Facebook page for updates and to visit the Café to see all this new spot has to offer.
