CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The town’s Fourth of July celebration begins at 3 p.m. Saturday with a children’s parade from the Tufulio’s parking lot to the town park. The grand marshal is The Great Stefan.
The Independence Day celebration will continue at the park with a children’s sawdust pile and craft projects from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., firetruck rides from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. and balloon art from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
There will be food and music from 4 to 9 p.m. The fireworks display will begin at about 9 p.m.
The town park and pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.
